Dr Bimalesh Purkait belongs to the group of leading and emerging urologist and Uro- oncologist based in India and practicing in Kolkata, West Bengal. He has been contributing to medical sciences for more than 22 years.

He joined MBBS at Calcutta National Medical College, Kolkata in 2001.

He had obtained various surgical and medical teaching /clinical experiences from 2001-2010 in the same institute.

He continued the medical carrier at prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi from 2010-2012 and completed it with the best post graduate student of the year (Gold Medal, General Surgery) in 2012-13.

He joined Fortis Hospital and Kidney Institute (FHKI, Kolkata) in 2013 as senior registrar in Urology Department until 2014.

He joined King George Medical University (KGMU, Lucknow) as M. Ch urology in 2014. He successfully completed his academic degree in 2017 in single attempt.

He got the best paper national award from Urological Society of India for his excellent contribution research article.

He had won prestigious “USI” INTERNATIONAL FELLOWSHIP to Singapore in 2017. In this small period, he had obtained advanced surgical training from top medical institutes of Singapore.

He has strong academic interest and published more than 40 national and internationals research articles and going on.

He presented numerous research papers/abstracts in various national and international conferences.

He is regular reviewer of reputed national and international urological journal.

He joined as urologist in VIMS (Vivekananda Institute of Medical Sciences) and Ramakrishna Mission Seva Pratishthan (Formerly Sishumangal Hospital), Kolkata since 2017. Working as Assistant Professor in Dept of Urology, he takes regular teaching classes for DNB/M. Ch urology program.

He is life member of Urological Society of India (USI). He is council member of Bengal Urological Society (BUS).
